Visiting the website
The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no content from other providers. Fonts and images are delivered with the website.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Cloudflare delivers the page from data centres in many countries. According to Cloudflare, the data is stored mainly in the USA and the European Economic Area. On every visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as the IP address, the time and the page requested, in order to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss‑U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council recognises as providing adequate data protection; for other countries, Cloudflare uses standard contractual clauses.
Requests by phone and email
When you call or write, GB Taxi only processes what your ride needs: name, phone number or email address, pickup, destination, date and time, number of passengers and luggage.
For patient rides, even the pickup, the destination or whether you need help getting in and out of the car can reveal something about your health. GB Taxi treats these details confidentially and only asks what the ride needs. Diagnoses or medical reports are not needed for this.
Emails are held by the mail provider Hostinger International Ltd. in Cyprus. According to Hostinger, it processes data in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Lithuania and Cyprus and, depending on the service, also in countries such as the USA, Brazil, Singapore or Indonesia. For these countries, Hostinger relies on contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
What the data is used for
GB Taxi uses your details only to plan, carry out and invoice your ride. The data is not sold and not passed on for advertising. Others receive it only where needed: service providers for phone, email, website and accounting, and authorities where the law requires it.
How long the data is kept
Details of a ride are kept as long as they are needed for the ride and the invoice. Accounting records are kept as long as the law requires, usually ten years.
Your rights
You can ask at any time which data GB Taxi processes about you and receive a copy in a common electronic format. You can have incorrect details corrected and your data deleted, unless a retention duty applies. Write to info@gbtaxi.ch.
If you think your data is not being handled correctly, you can report this to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
